What is a Pole Building?

Pole Buildings have the potential to replicate the functionality of
other buildings, but they are more affordable and require less time
to construct.  The most common use for pole buildings is the storage
of automobiles, boats, or other items usually found in a garage.
The reason Pole Buildings are so affordable is because they use a
technique called Pole Framing.

 

Pole Framing, commonly known as post-frame construction, is a simple building
technique that uses posts as structural members. The posts provide a strong frame
for the shell of the building and replace the studs commonly used in traditional
framing construction.  The exterior walls are directly attached to the outer edge
of the posts, and the roof is attached via a truss system.
